hello everyone! happy sunday to all of you! finally finished another LO using my SCRAPBOOK NOOK Sept kit. i know, i'm so late using this kit i still have my Oct kit waiting for me. i just LOVE, LOVE the CRATE PAPER RESTORATION collection. i love the colors, the patterns, and most of all the vintage feel of it... beautiful collection! I made this LO using CRATE PAPER THE SKETCH CHALLENGE_ OCTOBER EDITION 2010. Miss Emily Pitts the CP Sketch contributor did an amazing job on the sketch she provided this month and i just love it. here is my take on her sketch-
SUPPLIES: SCRAPBOOK NOOK Sept KIt- PP's: Crate Paper Restoration Collection. Kraft: MME's. Cardstock: Bazil Basics. Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink. Stickers: Crate Paper. Chipboards: CRate Paper. Embellies: Jillibean Corrugated Cardboard shapes, Crate papers vintage buttons, K&Company. Alphas: BasicGrey, Making Memories. Others: Twine, DMC floss, Ranger Stickles, Smart Craft acrylic paints, Tattered Angels Glimmer mist, Gel pens, Tacky Glue, Recollections foam adhesive.
i altered the sketch a little bit, instead of using squares i used circles and dropped the numbers from 16 to 9 circles. i did all the hand-stitching on each circles and Jylian's name and 2010 on Jylian's photo. lots of cutting, distressing, and inking as usual. i was so happy to have capture Jylian smiling because she is always on the move and like DIVA she doesn't want her pictures taken. i forgot, i also tried Lucy Edson's technique of printing photos on patterned paper although i only used printed paper with a very subtle print on it and i didn't have gesso on hand- see the two smaller photos of Jylian?
i hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoyed creating it. have a wonderful day and God Bless!

it caught me eye on my dashboard! sometimes it's worth waiting to use products, because then you really get inspired to do something gorgeous (like this) with it!
