SO LUCKY TO HAVE YOU

this is my fourth post for today LOL! i've been in the mood to scrap for the last couple of days and as you can see i'm in a roll. another one for THE SCRAPPIEST SKETCH # 75-
this is me and my joseph having fun taking our pictures. joseph looks so cute in this photo...can you tell in his smile that his a little rascal? LOL!

i always see the cute hot air balloons embellishment on LO's so instead of buying i thought i can make this cuties myself. so i googled hot air balloons, i found a great clip art, printed 3 copies, use the first copy as a template by cutting it to pieces, trace it, cut out the other two copies which i used as a guide where i glued my pieces and voila! customized hot air balloons for your LOs.

-isay

ANOTHER TRIFECTA FOR DESIGN DOLLIES

Good day everyone! it is hot here in San Diego! the heat is late, summer is almost over! anyhow, my son is going back to school tomorrow he is very excited and i'm very anxious, worried, and a little bit sad :( Anxious because we have to be there early to pick up his books and PE clothes which we weren't able to pick up last week i hope there's no long lines and long waiting tomorrow morning. Worried because he's going to be in a new school and i know he'll be ok because he is a good kid but then at the same time as a mother you can't really stop worrying if he is really going to be ok hoping he will not have a problem with other kids. and sad because he is growing so fast...MIDDLE school ALREADY!!! my baby is growing :(

here is LO i made with his photo. he loves the water if he can swim everyday he would, luckily we are so close to the swimming pool here in our apartment complex. we are not too far to the beach either 15 mins drive to the beach is not too bad i just wish we have more time to go to the beach.

This LO is for DESIGN DOLLIES TRIFECTA for this week-
1. ELEMENT- WAVE
2. COLOR COMBO OF THE WEEK- ROYAL BLUE/TEAL/ORANGE
3. SKETCH-

here is my take-

i used felt for the the waves and layered them. dry brush the white acrylic paint at the background. i really like the blue, teal, and orange together. come on over at DESIGN DOLLIES and be inspired by their weekly challenges and see the wonderful works of the DT's.
thanks for stopping by. God bless.

HAPPY

here is my second post for the day and i will be off to scrapping again. i still have lots of LO's to finish and since my creative mojo is very alive i thought i'd take advantage of it. LOL! this is for STUCK?! BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION BONUS SKETCH 1
this is also for PRACTICAL SCRAPPERS this week challenge- STITCHING. i hand stitched the circles using different color DMC floss.

this is my dear daughter, jylian, this photo was taken last year her first time at disneyland. i love this photo of her because she looks so happy hence, the title HAPPY. i wanted to make it simple but with bold colors and i think the black background really pops the colors of the papers and ribbons i used. i layered the ribbons behind the photo and made the banner myself. again i attached the banner with staples. i also did some stamping here and outlined the papers with white gel pen for definition. the quote reads- "...you are my most favorite memory..."
hope you like it. thanks for looking and God Bless.

hugs,

EXPLORE

good afternoon everyone! here i am again blogging and sharing some finish LO to you guys. you know what it's just now that i noticed that i have more confidence expressing myself and i think blogging has help a lot. when i first thought of making my own blog i was so anxious and worried what will i say or how will i say it. I'm not that chatty especially when I'm with a new crowd and that's what i love about blogging i can express myself freely. any hows, enough of that chit chat. here is another Lo i finished last night using STUCK?! AUGUST 1 SKETCH.
i love STUCK?!'s sketches because they are simple and leaves a lot of room for imagination, giving me a chance to make it my own unique LO.

this is my oldest son, Justin (10 yrs old), and this photo was taken last April 3, 2010 from our first camping trip. he had so much fun and now he loves camping and keep asking when will we go camping again. as he gets older it's getting harder to take photos of him because if we go somewhere like at the beach before we could even settle down he's already gone swimming in the water. he always say "pictures again didn't we take pictures already?". i will just give him the LOOK and he understands already "yeah sit there and smile" LOL! but lately hes been really good, i only need to ask him once. i think he sees me more spending time scrapbooking and he actually watches what i do when i scrapbook. he mentioned me once that he wanted to take pictures of his LEGO creations and make his own scrapbook page. maybe I'll have him try it and share it with all of you. i love the stripe patterned paper i used as the background. i made the banner using the black wavy ribbon and attached them with staples. the title is from K&company sticker chipboard that I've been hoarding for a while including the +60 watt smile and #1 sticker chipboard on the bottom by the quote. the quote reads: "...there is no doubt life with you is one amazing adventure..you are my greatest joy..." which i wrote down using different colors gel pen. I've been seeing a lot of LO's with kites on them and so i thought I'd give it a whirl and made my own kite. i did some doodling on the kite and i love how it turned out. i also love how the twine swirls all the way down the page. i colored my own rainbow, made my own clouds and tree. the bicycle and the soccer ball by the title was cut out from another patterned paper.
so there you have it. that was long post. i hope it wasn't too boring. thanks again for stopping by. have a wonderful day! God bless.

hugs

FRIENDS...ANOTHER TRIFECTA!

here is my last for the day and i save the best for last. i did another TRIFECTA! i {heart} DESIGN DOLLIES challenges! the TRIFECTA recipes are-

1. SKETCH CHALLENGE
2. ELEMENT CHALLENGE- FAVORITE TV THEME SONGS
3. COLOR CHALLENGE- -KRAFT YELLOW WHITE/CREAM
without further ado, here is my take on the challenges. i {HEART} the yellow, kraft, and white/cream together.

this photo was taken December 11, 2007, my best-friend just got married and we followed them to Las Vegas to celebrate. fun memories, we had a blast! i miss my best friend (she's the one on the left on the top photo) it's been a while since we've seen each other. i miss our scrap nights. for my element i choose my all time favorite TV show FRIENDS and i really do think nothing and no one can beat them! i still watch the re-runs if i have the chance. i love their theme song "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandts you can watch it here.

thank you for so much for stopping by. God Bless and have a wonderful Day! sorry again for the poor photo quality. I'm hoping I'll be able to get a new camera this week.

YOU AND ME

Good day! it's me again. this is my second post for today. it's my Friday at work today so I'm already planning to finish work early so i can start scrapping again tonight and hopefully be able to stay up all night LOL! this LO is for two challenges-

1. PAPER NICHE SKETCHY WEDNESDAY-i love their sketches and i forgot to share that i won their last weeks sketch challenge and i already received my goodies from them. thank you for hosting wonderful challenges and for the chance to win.
2. HAPPYSCRAPS- TECHNIQUE INSPIRED CHALLENGE- PLEATING

This is my sister -in-law with her boyfriend and these was taken on her graduation day last March 11, 2008. She is also a nurse and we do work in the same facility. she likes to scrapbook, too but we haven't had the chance to scrapbook together because she we have different shifts :(
i love the soft colors i used in this LO. my fave flower to make is here again. i placed a really nice vintage button with rhinestones on the top. i used MARTHA STEWART'S butterfly stamps, cut them out, inked it, and placed pearls in the middle for their body. i pleated the fabric on the left side for additional dimension and also used my one and only edge punch on the flower patterned paper on top of the pleated fabric-hope you can see it LOL! quote reads- Love you and all that you bring to my life. yes i stamped it one letter bat a time. i love that I've been using my stamps more often now than before.
thanks again for stopping by. Happy Sunday to you all!

BEST SUMMER BUDS

hello everyone! here i am again with LO's to share and as you all know i don't like posting different LO's in one post so i'll be posting three times today because i have three LO's to share with you. this first one is inspired by SKETCHABILITIES SKETCH #21 unfortunately i was too late and the LINKY WIDGET closed already. but thats OK! no worries because i can still share it with all of you. i forgot, i'm a bit sad today :( because my mom lost my back up camera. my canon broke because my son dropped it so the lens broke and now, my smaller digital cam is gone, too :(. so sorry about the poor quality of the photos i used my cellphones camera.

this is my dear son, justin and joseph. i've been wanting to scrap these photos and finally had the chance to scrap them. maybe i was just waiting for a great sketch and ideas to be able to scrap it.
i splattered some white and blue acrylic paints for the background. cut out my own sun- inked it, sprayed it with glimmer mist, and added some stitching on it. i also cut out the word "best" from a piece of felt. i did some more stitching using DMC floss. most of the embellishments here are really old and you know, I'm in a mission to use up all of my embellishment and not to buy anything until they are 90% gone LOL! i've been really good at it and i've been really good at using my 40% off coupons from michaels and joanne and only buying the ones that i need like glue dots and stuff like that.

ENJOY THE JOURNEY

Good Day everyone! here i am again with a finished LO. i {heart} the RECOLLECTIONS Rockets & Sprockets collection...my imagination went wild and my creativeness expanded i just LOVE, LOVE it! i used these collection on my previous LO ENJOY LIFE and i just had to use it again as an inspiration. i love the bold colors that i was able to put together on this LO. this one is for a couple of challenges-

1. PAGEMAPS SCRAP ATTACK SKETCH CHALLENGE with these YUMMY, YUMMY prize package from SCRAP ATTACK SCRAPBOOKING STORE.
2. SCRAPPING THE MUSIC- featuring REMEDY by JASON MRAZ

this is my dear son, joseph, and we all know how he loves his photo taken no matter what he's doing.
and YES i made the rocket by the title for the fire coming out i used some old red shoe lace and glued it at the end of the rocket. i stamped the lyrics from the song-
"...i won't worry my life away.."
"...you can turn off the sun but i'm still gonna shine..."
yup, i stamped the letters one at a time LOL! of course lots of fussy cuttings here- i cut out the robots and cut my own mechanical gears. i used my white gel pen and black marker to outline the images and letters. the gold circles behind two of the mechanical gears are actually the chocolate coin wrapper that my son was eating yesterday- my husband dare me to put it in one of my LO's so here it is.

i'm hoping i'm able to scrap some more again today before going to work. thank you again for stopping by! GOOD BLESS!

i told i {heart} this flowers, here it is again this time i used two different colored patterned paper and added the silver button with matching blue ribbon to make it more masculine. i have so many rub-on letters so in decided to use the here to write my title/quote and for the word "SMILE" i used some chipboard alphas with some glitters already on them. i alos, cut out some clocks for additional embellishment and used light blue ribbon to frame it. GOD BLESS! thanks again for spending some time here at my blog.

WITH YOU

Hello it's me again with my second post for the day. this LO is for AUGUST MONTHLY SKETCH CHALLENGE @ SCRAPBOOK.COM it was late but i loved the sketch Jami provided. This is also for SCRAP IT WITH A SONG WEEK #17 inspired by Jessica Simpson's song "WITH YOU".

i wanted to keep it simple and i used mostly my BASIC GREY patterned papers which i tend to hoard LOL! i made this flowers using the same papers and i think i have five layers in here. inked it using TIM HOLTZ's distressed ink and also used my GLIMMER MIST. i painted the button on top with white and cream acrylic paint then inked, applied glimmer mist as well, then stamped it with word "adore". i just love how it turned out and i {heart} this flower right now! i added multiple hidden tags here. don't they look cute? i decide to stamped some of the lyrics from the song and on one of the tags i wrote a note for my dear husband. hope you like it! GOOD DAY!

-isay

ENJOY LIFE

Happy Hump Day everyone! i can't believe it's mid week already!i had a very scrappy day yesterday and all night last night. i was able to finish three LO's. i don't like posting three different LO's in one post because it'll be too long! :) so I'll be posting three times today. this first LO is inspired by SKETCHES IN THYME CHALLENGE #9 and HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH.
for the current challenge in SKETCHES IN THYME and for this months challenge at HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH, guest designer KRISTA MORRIS ask us to use three different color letters and to use 5 patterned papers.

this is a photo of my husband, my son joseph, my cousins husband and my niece and nephews taken on one of the many fun rides at LEGOLAND, CA lat year. i decided to framed my husband and son on the second photo and i think it looks good :).

i did a lot of cutting here. i wanted to mimic the circles on one of the patterned paper so i cut out my own circles including the big background and the small ones tucked behind the photos and title. i also made my own little yellow planet, used some 3d dots for dimensions, and highlighted it with my white gel pen. for the robots and rocket ship i cut them out from the paper and glued them on black cardstock for it to pop out more. i also like the effect of the black marker around the letters and the papers it really made the colors pop up some more. and of course, almost all of the papers and embellishment here are inked with TIM HOLTZ's distress ink. Thank you for looking!

finally did a TRIFECTA!

Hello again! this is a quick post because i need to get ready for work. this one is for DESIGN DOLLIES TRIFECTA! i know i finally did a trifecta!so happy about it! i was hoping i was able to submit this one for the current challenge at LET'S GET SHABBY using wings and the quote that they provided but i guess i can't because i can't submit it to any other challenge until after the winner is announced. Ooops! i should really read the rules first before doing the LO. Anyways, i'll try again next time. Now for the DESIGN DOLLIES TRIFECTA i was able to do the three challenges-
1. DESIGN DOLLIES ELEMENT challenge: FRIEND
2.DESIGN DOLLIES THURSDAY SKETCH challenge:
3.DESIGN DOLLIES COLOR challenge:

LO to share

Good Sunday Morning everyone! i cannot believe i slept at 5am this morning i couldn't sleep at all so i scrap and scrap and scrap some more...and how many LO i finished 1 and 1/2 page LOL! I'm still working on the other one it's almost done but i want to share this LO with you first. this LO is for PENCIL LINES SKETCH #198. i just love the sketch and was so inspired by the PENCIL LINES design teams take on the sketch so i had to give a try, too.
this is the first time i ever did masking, i used the heart shaped paper doily and some tattered angel glimmer mist. Even though it's hard to see in the photo i think it turned out great, don't you think so? and i love the colors it made on the doily i used for masking so i added it in the LO, too. the words on the background looks like they were stamped but they are actually some old, old rub-ons i have from 7 gypsies and you know what happen when rubs-ons are left for a long long time, some of the letters or words sticks and comes off by itself...i like the way it looked in here though with the missing letters and words and all. the two hearts on the bottom are semi hand made by me. semi because the fabric heart on top was already stitched with batting inside i just added bling on top and layered it with two different patterned paper using 3d dots and inked the edges using Tim Holtz's distress ink. i also made the envelope on the left side tucked behind the photo with the string wrapped around it and added prima flowers on top of the bow. and of course, i have to add some lace to soften it and more prima flowers. on the flowers i added pearls and heart shaped blings just because. the lovely blings on top of the photo where the strings for the two hearts are attached are actually buttons that i got from WALMART. i made it flat and glued the string behind it. Lastly, i wrote the quote on the photo using white gel pen- "love you yesterday. love you still...always have, always will.." i am really happy to be back and able to scrap again and that my mojo is here to stay for a while. Hope you all have a good day and thank you for stopping by my blog.
