Adorable

Hello! just another LO to share also inspired by Creative Scrappers Sketch # 109.
I love this photo of my dear daughter and been wanting to scrap it. so, in these LO i wanted to keep it simple and sweet. i made the flowers from strips of fabrics, place a piece of organza behind the flowers, and add pearls in the center of each flowers. distressed and inked the strips of pp's behind the photo. i used the gathered strip of fabric again for additional texture and dimension, just love the effect it has on my LO's. Hope you enjoy looking and please do stop by at Creative Scrappers and try their sketches and ofcourse have fun!

Best Buds

Good Day everyone! i'm here with another Lo to share with you, this is inspired by Creative Scrappers Sketch #107. i just love the sketches that they share.

As you can see I've used the banners again, just love them! Free hand the title "best buds" then cut them out. i didn't want to make the flowers to be too girly so i used a blue paper and just rolled it into circles. i doodled some stitches on to the blocks. Thanks for stopping by. Hope y'all have a wonderful day!

The Scrappiest Sketch # 70

Here is another photo of my dear son, Joseph. he is just very funny sometimes i wonder how can he acts so old when he's so young. i bet you will laugh too if you hear him talk sometimes that's why we sometimes call him LOLO (which means grandpa)because he talks like an old man LOL!

i was surprised i was able to finish this layout in two hours it usually takes me a minimum of 4 hours in one layout. i guess it was easy because i already know what i wanted to put. Anyways, i thought i will have a hard time with the colors gray and yellow but i actually think they are a perfect combination.

some layouts to share

Good afternoon! hope you all are having a wonderful day! it's hot and sunny here. Not loving it too much right now because i have a terrible headache and stiff neck. anyways, i still managed to finished a couple of layout and these are for Weekly Old Pagemap # 17 happening at sb.com.
This first layout is a photo of my dear husband and two dear sons taken at Universal Studio, CA 2008. I just adore this photo of them holding hands while walking.
Journaling reads:
Walking down the winding path
I hold tight to Daddy's hand
His firm but gentle grip makes me
Feel safe like nothing else can
I don't know where we are going
But my Daddy knows the way
He leads us down the path that's right
And will not let us stray
I hold on to his hand tightly
I know he won't let me fall
For my Daddy is the biggest and the strongest of them all
I don't ever have to worry
When I hold his hand in mine
Because I know he will protect
And love me for all time
-authorSharon Froese
this second layout is a photo of me and my son, joseph. I wanted to make this really simple and i love how it turned out. i love the blues and creams together with the hint of red and green.
Journaling reads:
"-delighted, pleased, or glad; characterized by or indicative of pleasure, contentment, or joy...just how i feel when i'm with you..."

Falling in LOVE

Happy Monday! i was able to finish a layout today and i used my new Nikki Sivils paper "Will He B the 1" collection and i just LOVE, LOVE it! I've been trying to get my hands on these gorgeous papers and finally found it in one of the local scrapbook stores. i actually bought 6 of the Nikki Sivils collection LOL! of course i had to hide it from my hubby...joke!!!

this is for Design Dollies current Thursday Sketch challenge always love their sketches and for If It's Groovy June Photo booth Challenge printed the photo of me and my dear husband like strips of photos taken at photo booth. this is actually taken at our recent visit at Disneyland, CA and we were waiting for the parade to start. i made the flowers and i must say this is one of my fave flowers to make because it so easy and there is no right or wrong way in making them. i added some glimmer mist and pearls in the center to make even prettier. don't you just love them? i hand stitched the vines/swirls behind the flowers and used one of Martha Stewart's butterfly stamp and cut them out. i hope you can see it but i used some pencil colors around the big circle and inside the circle. Thanks again for stopping by and hope you all have a wonderful week!

Why Am I Worth Knowing?

Good day! here is a LO i finished for AAM Challenge #19 {I'm Worthy} and it was a really hard challenge for me. this is inspired by Sketchy Thursday 6.03 sketch challenge. I loved the current sketch they have i usually like to fill my pages but this one i kept it pretty simple . i also submitted this for June negative space challenge at sb.com.

i used water down acrylic paints for the splattered paint background. i made the green flower and used some of my prima flowers. i printed out the title and journaling in a patterned paper framed it with ribbons. the journaling can be hidden and pulled out behind the photos.
Journaling reads-
Why am I worth knowing?
This was a real challenge for me…simple question but it was hard for me to answer. I always had self doubts & insecurities but after thinking & realizing I have so many good things to be thankful for…I also realize that I am worth knowing. I am worthy knowing because I love my family & friends & will do anything for them; I love and enjoy staying home & spending time with my family; I am a loyal friend, a good listener & follower, hard worker, patient, & creative; I love learning new things; I am open-minded, I believe everything happens for a reason & that we should always look for the humor in bad situations; I easily forgive & believe that people can change; & lastly I am worth knowing because I have a strong faith in God.

CSD Razberry Dazzle challenge

good monday morning! another LO finished last night this is for CSD Razberry challenge using the this color combo-

and as always they are giving away this amazing prize It's the "Good Times" kit from our June sponsor Color Me Miki.

i had so much fun doing this LO i love, love the colors! this is me and my best friend at Oceanside beach, CA a few days before graduating from nursing school 5 yrs ago (june 2005)

i went to 99 cents store yesterday afternoon and bought some goodies for scrapbooking. Some of the few items i bought is the green net behind the photo which is actually a scarf, for 99 cents i didn't hesitate to cut it and used it in this LO. i also bought the umbrella pick that you put on drinks i just cut the pick and lay the umbrella flat. the flowers are table confetti's hawaiian theme. i folded the petals for dimension, cut some more of the scarf using the yellow one to make the center of the flower, and made the leaves from left over scrap. the big bracket is made from scrap did some glimmer misting on it using 2 different glimmer mist and inked the edges. i also submitted this for June Weekly Sketch challenge and June pick a quote challenge at sb.com.

creative scrappers sketch #106 & design Dollies Element challenge

here i am again & i finished another LO for Design Dollies Element challenge using Creative scrappers sketch #106 which i flipped the sketch over and for June Pick A quote challenge at sb.com. I'm really trying to do as much scrapping as i can do this next 2 days because i will be very busy at work next week. This is my eldest son, Justin, first photo playing soccer.
Journaling reads:
...at first you didn't want to play soccer, you were so shy and worried if you can play but after a couple of practice and games your self-esteem is better and you believed more in yourself. you are such an amazing player and you make me & dada proud..."when you have no choice, mobilize the spirit of courage..."

all yours...

good Sunday morning! it's been a busy week and I'm glad i have 2 days off and some scrapping time. i really need to do some serious scrapping it's been very stressful at work lately. anyways, started last night and finished this LO for Design Dollies latest sketch challenge and color challenge using brown, red, & yellow. i tried to make it as simple as i have tendency to adding too much but i think i did good on this one.

this is a photo of me my dear husband 3 years ago, my Joseph's first birthday. i like this photo because were both smiling. LOL! Lately I've been in love with adding laces, ribbons, and fabric to my LO's which gives the LO more texture and depth. on this one i gathered a small piece of fabric and place it in between the torn paper on the right upper corner and for some volume i layered multiple strips of fabric and laces glued them in place.
i made the tiny flowers added glimmer mist and place pearl in the middle, twirled some floral wire and ribbon for vines. Looks pretty simple right? it took me 4-5 hours to finish this one. LOL! i had fun doing this LO though. TFL!
