fragile...sweet...

good morning! here i am again with another LO that i finished last night. this one is for design dollies sketch challenge and element challenge for this week. the element challenge is to include- lace, color pink, crown, stripes, and two 3-D element.i also submitted this for Scrapping the music challenge #136 with this week song "Fragile" by Sting.

it maybe hard to see but the white and pink stripe ribbon is behind the string of hearts.
i printed out the lyrics of the song "Fragile" in vellum and placed it as part of the background. also, used a piece of medical gauze behind the photo, vintage lace, did some stitching, used prima flowers,& made some leaves for the flowers. The crown is a sticker which i stuck on a sturdier clear transparency that comes with embellishment packages and added blings for some more character. I used some of my letter stamp to stamp the word "FRAGILE".

not for fashion...

good Sunday morning everyone! i am feeling a little better now and actually stayed up late last night to finish this LO for AAM challenge # 18 hosted by the talented Miss Janis to scrap about your shoes and how it reflects you. This LO is also for journaling junkies challenge # 80 by Miss Stephanie and she wants us to journal about finding balance in your life including things like your "to do" list, time management tricks, how you prioritise what needs to get done. And Lastly, this is also inspired by May 15 Sketchabilities sketch #16 that i rotated to get a different look of the sketch which i missed the deadline last night but thats ok ;). I had so much fun doing this LO and i think this will be in one of my favorites.

journaling reads:
I don’t know how can I do everything without any help, that is why I am so thankful to have a very supportive husband who still appreciate & love me even though I don’t cook. My “super” mom who helps me with babysitting, doing chores in the house & always so patient with me. To our neighbor who gives my son a ride to & from school. But still, with all the help sometimes I wish I have more time & energy to do more things. It is overwhelming sometimes working full time & being a mother of three kids but being a mom & a wife is my priority & the most important to me. I know I need time for myself too & these shoes are not for fashion at all & definitely need some serious makeover but these shoes are comfortable & it represents me as a hard worker & a dedicated, responsible mother and I am very much comfortable just being like that.

little lady

hello again! here is my layout for 5.20 sketchy thursday and also for Design Dollies this weeks color challenge using kraft, white, and fuschia.

this LO is not my usual 12 x 12. i cut it down to 8 x 20 because i intend to frame it and display it in our living room. i made the flowers using 4 x 4 medical gauze similar to the technique when doing the ribbon flowers. i left it white to keep it clean and to keep the white pop out against the pink and kraft.

Week 1 old pagemap #16 @ sb.com

happy hump day everyone! i've been sick for a couple of days now but that didn't stop from scrapping LOL! Here is my take on May Weekly Old Pagemap#16 week 1 at sb.com. thanks for looking and stopping by.

6th grade class of 1959-1960

good thursday morning everyone! i have a nother layout done the other night it's for week3 sketch for may monthly sketch challenge at sb.com with the twist of using something old and something new. for my old- i used my dad's 6th grade photo taken between 1959-1960 and yes, i used the original photo it was torn already when i found it. and for something new, the papers i used here are newly bought, they adre from DCWV At Home stacks which i love! the colors are perfect. once again, did a lot of cutting- i cut out the clocks and flowers, added some layers, used pop-dots for the main photo for dimension and used rub-ons on the top left side of the photo.

i almost forgot this photo was taken from the Philippines and my dad is the one on the top row 3rd from the left. TFL

Design Dollies Colour Challenge

finally finished a layout! i don't know what it is but lately i haven't been in the mood to scrap but i got to finished this layout. this is for the Design Dollies Colour Challenge- blue, brown, green, and white/ivory. And yes, this is my first time to join their challenge or any blog challenge so I'm really excited. this is a photo of my dear husband and two dear son was taken sometime in 2008 when we went to Universal Studio Hollywood.(i really need to remember dates or start labeling photos)

for some close-up look here are additional photos. i like adding dimensions to my layout using lots of pop-up dots and layering. i used my cricut to cut the words "cherish"and "together" and used white gel paint to add some distressing on the edge of the letters.

i made the lollipop flowers using the same papers i used in the layout and fabrics- for the bottom layer i cut the circle using scallop scissors and for the middle layers i cut two circles out of fabric one is bigger than the other and stitch their edges. i placed a smaller paper circle on top and placed a brad to hold them together. also did a lot of distressing and inking in this layout.

handmade flowers

good thursday morning! i finally finished my layout for week2 may monthly sketch challenge at sb.com. i was having a hard time picking papers but once it came to me i was on the roll! LOL! it was hard because my 17 month old baby girl is teething so shes a bit cranky and uncomfortable. we haven't able to sleep very well but she's a lot better now. anyways, here is the layout i finished with the twist handmade flowers and vines. i had so much fun doing it, hope you like it.

i printed out one of my favorite song "i love the way you love me" highlighting the title on the lyrics by using red colored fonts instead of black.

at the bottom of the layout i tacked in a strip of lace in between the photos and matting. i also, used a medical gauze that i misted using tattered angels glimmer mist and placed it behind the lyrics and circle element.
you know i can't finished a layout without distressing so i tear the background paper and distress the edge of the lyrics and the circle element . Inked it using tim holtz distress ink.
and now for the handmade flowers, it was from miss gabrielle's tutorial at www.mycreativescrapbook.com message and board gallery but instead of using satin like she, did i used medical gauze for the bigger flower and mist it and then used a strip of fabric for the smaller ones and placed the pearl button on top and twisted some wires with pearls on to the button.

just for sharing

good morning! TGIF! i did another layout last night for May Cosmo Cricket challenge at scrapbook.com. i received my free material girl crafting kit yesterday. last month's April cosmo cricket challenge julie, from cosmo cricket, had some technical difficulties- she accidentally set the ending date of the voting poll for next year so instead of reposting it she decided to make everybody a winner by letting all the participant choose the crafting kit they like for FREE! Miss Julie and Cosmo Cricket thank you so much for your generosity. So here is the layout i made-for some dimensions in the embellisments i hand cut them and place dimensioinal foams in between like items.
