Happy Hump Day everyone! i can't believe it's mid week already!i had a very scrappy day yesterday and all night last night. i was able to finish three LO's. i don't like posting three different LO's in one post because it'll be too long! :) so I'll be posting three times today. this first LO is inspired by SKETCHES IN THYME CHALLENGE #9 and HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH.
for the current challenge in SKETCHES IN THYME and for this months challenge at HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH, guest designer KRISTA MORRIS ask us to use three different color letters and to use 5 patterned papers.
this is a photo of my husband, my son joseph, my cousins husband and my niece and nephews taken on one of the many fun rides at LEGOLAND, CA lat year. i decided to framed my husband and son on the second photo and i think it looks good :).
i did a lot of cutting here. i wanted to mimic the circles on one of the patterned paper so i cut out my own circles including the big background and the small ones tucked behind the photos and title. i also made my own little yellow planet, used some 3d dots for dimensions, and highlighted it with my white gel pen. for the robots and rocket ship i cut them out from the paper and glued them on black cardstock for it to pop out more. i also like the effect of the black marker around the letters and the papers it really made the colors pop up some more. and of course, almost all of the papers and embellishment here are inked with TIM HOLTZ's distress ink. Thank you for looking!
