handmade flowers

good thursday morning! i finally finished my layout for week2 may monthly sketch challenge at sb.com. i was having a hard time picking papers but once it came to me i was on the roll! LOL! it was hard because my 17 month old baby girl is teething so shes a bit cranky and uncomfortable. we haven't able to sleep very well but she's a lot better now. anyways, here is the layout i finished with the twist handmade flowers and vines. i had so much fun doing it, hope you like it.

i printed out one of my favorite song "i love the way you love me" highlighting the title on the lyrics by using red colored fonts instead of black.

at the bottom of the layout i tacked in a strip of lace in between the photos and matting. i also, used a medical gauze that i misted using tattered angels glimmer mist and placed it behind the lyrics and circle element.
you know i can't finished a layout without distressing so i tear the background paper and distress the edge of the lyrics and the circle element . Inked it using tim holtz distress ink.
and now for the handmade flowers, it was from miss gabrielle's tutorial at www.mycreativescrapbook.com message and board gallery but instead of using satin like she, did i used medical gauze for the bigger flower and mist it and then used a strip of fabric for the smaller ones and placed the pearl button on top and twisted some wires with pearls on to the button.
